Coca Cola Celebrates Diversity in New Super Bowl Ad
With less than a week from Super Bowl, many companies are releasing their ads early to excite the consumers, and Coca Cola is the most recent brand to do so.
This year, Coca Cola's 60-second spot will be aired during the pre-game telecast of the Super Bowl, right before the national anthem. Created by Wieden + Kennedy and animated by Psyop, the ad celebrates diversity, aiming to bring people together.
"The timeless message of the spot is especially relevant today given what’s happening in society," said Brynn Bardacke, vice president, content and creative excellence, Coca-Cola North America. "We hope it will resonate with viewers as they come together as a country to sing our national anthem."
Coca Cola is also encouraging consumers to share their selfies on social media, celebrating what makes them different and beautiful. Some of these photos will be recreated into illustrations and integrated into a mural on its Instagram page during the Super Bowl. In addition, the brand intends to respond to fans on Twitter with positive messages using the campaign's characters.
