No, it's not Thanksgiving yet. Yes, Ikea is already launching its first Christmas ad.

Applying a different, more 'irreverent' approach, Mother created the 'Silence the Critics' campaign that defies 'home shame.' The TV ad features a couple who feels embarrassed about the state of their home when confronted with the prospect of hosting guests.

Ikea marketing manager, Sarah Green, asserts that 'home shame' is a communal sentiment among too many home owners. The purpose of the ad is to ignite a humorous take on festive hosting to acknowledge that these pressures are normal. The campaign offers ideas to finally tackle 'home shame.'

The campaign shows three films where home owners resolve their hosting fears with the help of Ikea. Ultimately, the ad strategically helps the consumer to realize that their homes are worthy of hosting. It's just a matter of finding the right products and services.
